Man City superstar Erling Haaland is already breaking records in the Premier League with a second consecutive hat-trick during the 6-0 rout of Nottingham Forest.
The Norway striker moved his tally for the 2022/23 season to nine goals in five games following a stunning 35-minute hat-trick against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
Joao Cancelo added a fourth after the break and Julian Alvarez bagged his first top-flight goals with a second-half brace on a humbling trip for newly-promoted Forest.
But Haaland will grab the headlines after making the fastest start of any Premier League striker in history through five games.
Many expect the £51million man to reach unprecedented heights at the Etihad after establishing himself as one of world football’s most fearsome strikers at RB Salzburg and then Borussia Dortmund.
And judging by Haaland’s stats for August, that is beginning to look like a certainty.
Following an earlier-than-ususual start to the top-flight campaign due to the World Cup this winter, the 22-year-old has broken the record for goals scored in the month of August.
Until tonight, nobody had scored two Premier League hat-tricks in less than 21 matches, but Haaland did it in five.

After joining in 2011, the Argentine scored eight goals in his first five Premier League matches, a joint-record with Newcastle legend Micky Quinn.
And now the two iconic strikers have been blitzed by Haaland, who has nine in five games.
Aguero joined City aged 23 and went on to score 187 top-flight goals, the fourth-most in history.
It is quite frightening that Haaland already has a headstart.
