Sergio Aguero has revealed the details of an audio message sent to him by world champion boxer Canelo Alvarez.
The pair became embroiled in a war of words when Canelo sent a threat to Lionel Messi after the Paris Saint-Germain forward appeared to kick a Mexico shirt, shortly after their World Cup clash.

Canelo took offence to the footage and viewed it as disrespect to his country.
He then went on an angry tirade aimed at the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
He said: “Did you guys see Messi cleaning the floor with our jersey and flag.
“He better pray to God that I don’t find him. Just like I respect Argentina, he has to respect Mexico!
“I’m not talking about the country as a whole, just about the bulls**t that Messi did.”
Former Manchester City and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero jumped to Messi’s defence replying: “Mr. Canelo, don’t look for excuses or problems, surely you don’t know about football and what happens in a locker room.

Canelo hit back with: “You too, b******? You used to write me, “oh, oh, Canelo”, and now you’re crying. Don’t be a hypocrite, b******.”
A brave Aguero responded on Twitter: “You earned the hatred of all of Argentina. Just with Messi, it’s like saying something against Maradona. You played with fire.
“’So, I’m sorry, I followed you on Instagram, but I stopped following you. I liked you, I don’t like you today.”
Canelo has since apologised for his comments after a period of reflection, with the feud now seemingly at an end.

But Aguero has now revealed the details of an audio message sent to him from the boxer at the height of the exchange and admitted he was petrified when he received it.
“He sent me an audio,” said Aguero.
“Do you know how much I s*** myself? When I saw my WhatsApp and I read ‘Canelo audio message’ I said ‘oh, s***’.
“He told me: ‘You s***head, I liked you, a**hole’.
“I replied: ‘Mr. Canelo, I think you’re wrong, you do not know Leo, at no time was he stepping on the Mexico shirt. Admit that you’re wrong’, and he told me to respect his opinion”.
