Legendary Scotland strikers Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil have sprung to the defence of Erling Haaland after the Man City star was questioned by Sergio Aguero.
Following a highly-anticipated £51million move from Borussia Dortmund, Haaland struggled on his competitive debut as City lost 3-1 to Liverpool in the Community Shield.

The Norwegian spurned a glorious chance and struggled to make the impact expected of a player who is rated among the very best in world football.
Reacting to Haaland’s display, City legend Aguero was left feeling skeptical about the 22-year-old and his ability to adapt.
“He was too used to Germany,” Aguero said.
“Haaland thought he was alone, then Virgil van Dijk arrived and said, ‘Welcome to the Premier League’.”
However, Brazil and McCoist insist there will be ‘no stopping’ Haaland once the superstar settles in the Premier League.
McCoist told talkSPORT Breakfast: “He might go through a wee barren spell but I can’t see him not scoring goals.

“Physically, he’s a specimen. He’s aggressive, so he’ll handle the physical side. I certainly think he’s quick enough.
“There will be a period where his teammates get to know his game. But I would be staggered if he doesn’t score goals.
“He looks like the finished article, he looks top class.”
Brazil added: “Once he gets a couple of goals, there will be no stopping him.

“He has to get the right service but he’s going to get chances, City batter teams with their football.
“He’s got to score 20 goals.”
The Premier League is back and talkSPORT has it covered, with games on Friday, Saturday and Monday, beginning with Crystal Palace vs Arsenal on 5 August
